Provides very best accuracy in my Cooper 38 in 17 Fireball with 25 grain Berger HP varmint bullets, about 1/2 MOA at 3.600 FPS. Begin with start loads and work up carefully to maximum powder charges while checking for signs of excess pressure. Although the .223 Remington is often considered inadequate for deer-sized game, when loaded with a bullet designed for the task, it will kill deer reliably.
